Pod Uploads and Q and A's...

Hello all, time for that midweek update !
As promised, more brand new Album Zone programmes are now in the ether, on our very own Pod to be precise, available 24/7 for you, whether you feel like playing them, or downloading, it's entirely your own choice. You can, at :
http://www.4shared.com/dir/391612/be81ca22/sharing.html

So, what have we got ? Well, 2 brand new shows, one from our man in NJ, Rich Phoenix, and one from Barry De Foyle. Go check them out ! Neither are due to be 'officially' aired until March 2008 is well under way, so our Pod gives you an exclusive preview or two, once again.

Time for the next set of Q and A's, and as his brand new opus is available, what better time than now than to feature the opinions of Barry De Foyle.
All the news that's unfit to print from him, is here for you below.

I'll be back at the weekend, with more Programme news.

Have a great week,

Steve

---------------------------------------------------------------
Barry De Foyle : The Q and A Session :

If you were in charge of making the environment better what would you
do?

Stop Reecey drinking so much tea for a start ! Oh, you mean the global
environment ? Ah, well, I'd set about capturing all the methane
produced by the world's cattle - did you know, the average cow produces
enough methane to inflate an airship in 144 minutes ? Now THAT would make
a difference to the ozone layer.

In your career with the Album Zone and the thousands of songs that
you've played have you ever played anything that changed a listeners life?

I don't remember anyone mentioning it - so I guess if I did, it wasn't
for the better ... ooops !

Have you ever considered quitting AZ ? And why ?

If people stopped listening, I might get to thinking 'hey what's the point ?',
but that would be the only reason. It's really heartening when you
get feedback. A big 'thank you' to those that do, by the way - if you
haven't already, then please do drop us a line !
In any case, it's good therapy and it keeps me reappraising my CD
collection.

Anything you've done that you have really regretted ? Care to tell ?

I met Dana once, at BBC Radio Ulster in Belfast when I was reading out
listener's requests live on Gloria Hunniford's mid-morning show. I had
to shake her hand and I regret not having the nerve to tell her what I
REALLY thought of her rotten songs !

Erm ... actually, I probably shouldn't have mentioned Gloria Hunniford
- I can feel my 'street cred' draining away .. :)

It doesn't pay. Why do you do it ?

Well, I do have a day job as well, but it isn't particularly creative
or musical. On the Album Zone there's something very satisfying in
putting together a selection of records with virtually nothing in common,
yet making the whole thing feel like a natural progression.

What's the best thing about doing AZ ?

Getting positive feedback on music people have heard for the first time
on the show.

And the worst ?

Until recently, it was the amount of time it took to record and prepare
a show for broadcast - it may sound insane, but it used to take 12
hours' work simply to record and convert each show for broadcast, burning
them onto CDs for Reecey to then convert to MP3 and upload !

Now, I record on to a small silver box the size of two iPods, mixing
and converting the show directly to MP3 in one go which I can upload
directly, which is waaaaaaay faster than the old way and means I can record
almost anywhere (so look out for some outside broadcasts 'on location'
once the weather improves !)

Favourite city or town - and why ?

In the UK it has to be Edinburgh - always been a great place to visit
and work. I could see myself settling down there some day (although the
current Mrs de Foyle isn't that keen, 'cos it can get a bit
'cauld'...)

Elsewhere: the city of Nara, near Kyoto, in Japan. Like Kyoto, it's an
ancient capital which features some fantastic shrines and temples -
for example Todai-ji is the largest temple in Japan (and reputedly the
largest wooden building in the world). Nara also has roaming herds of
cute little sika deer all over the place that will pick your pockets for
biscuits if you don't give them any.

Do you miss doing 'Live' Shows ?

Never experienced it. However, there is sometimes a sense that there's
no-one actually out there listening and the pre-recorded aspect of the
show means you can't make topical comments about the weather or even
the time of year but then I don't see myself as a "personality DJ" (heh,
that's a relief ! - Ed.) - the music's easily the most important
thing.

Do you have a favourite record of all time - or are there just too many ?

Crikey, hundreds (quite literally), but off the top of my head, I would
have to include:

'801 Live', 'Playing the Fool' - Gentle Giant, '(no pussyfooting)' -
Fripp and Eno, 'Rubycon' Tangerine Dream, 'Listen Now!' Phil Manzanera,
'Music For Airports' and 'Music For Films' Brian Eno, 'Red' King
Crimson, 'A Live Record' Camel, Peter Gabriel's third solo album, 'The Toy
Matinee' Toy Matinee, 'Ommadawn' Mike Oldfield, 'The Black Balloon' John
Renbourn, 'Visionary' Gordon Giltrap - oh and every album by Roxy Music
(except 'Heart Still Beating' of course ... !)

Where have you never travelled - but really want to visit ?

Some of the Japanese islands - mainly Hokkaido and Kyushu. I've been
to the mainland (Honshu) a couple of times now, but there never seems to
be enough time to do the rest. I'd also love to visit Sado island,
home of the Kodo drum troupe and Okinawa, home of Shoukichi Kina &
Champloose, Nenes and Shang Shang Typhoon - so much exuberant music. Kanpai !

Ever thought of doing 'all talk' programmes ?

Not thought about it before - it would have to be live with some
interesting people to talk to, or a decently scripted documentary type show -
maybe a history of electronic music or progressive rock ?

Do you ever listen to any of the other AZ Presenters shows ?
If so, which ones and why ?

I do sometimes, but not regularly and not specifically any one
presenter. I like to check the playlists occasionally to make sure that I
don't overlap too much in the choice of music I play. Truthfully, I just
plain don't have the time to listen to whole shows - mainly because I
work away from home all week. What spare time I have at weekends is
taken up with family activities and trying to play the guitar and drums - I
also like to find time to play games (Wii and XBOX 360) and listen to
new CDs I've bought that have been delivered at home during the week :)

Got pets ? What ?

Years ago, I inherited two goldfish from former flatmates - Saatchi and
Saatchi (that's the goldfish, not the flatmates). But nothing since
then.

Who's the sexiest girl / boy singer for you ?

Coo, a toughie - probably Liane Foly, in both the 'sound' and 'vision'
departments. A voice like ermine - it both soothes and excites,
sometimes at the same time ! Otherwise Patricia Kaas, although she can be 'a
bit of a tart' as a female Australian colleague of mine once remarked
(a tad jealously, I thought ... !) Ute Lemper can make me all shook up
too, with the right notes ...

Please tell us something about your biography, we don't know much about you... where are you from, where are you now ?... and where are you going ?

Born and bred (or 'reared', as we say locally) in Northern Ireland,
migrated to England in my late teens to go to college and decided to stay.
The Ulster accent disappeared quite quickly, which suprised everyone
at the time (me included). Now, I can drop in and out of it at will,
but I don't use it in the show as it might confuse everyone !

Would you like a job with a national radio station ?

Only if I had the sort of freedom to play the music that I want to play
- I think that's pretty rare, even among the big names.

Favourite Album ?

Oh all right, if we're talking a 'burning building : one album'
scenario, it would have to be 'For Your Pleasure' by Roxy Music.

Does a lot of advance planning go into your programmes, or do you just
sit down and get on with it ?

Perhaps surprisingly, I do spend quite a lot of time in preparation,
mostly in 'auditioning' music to play, mainly for the running order and
ensuring a mix of styles. The thing about the running order for me is
that even a great song can sound lifeless if played back to back with
the wrong tune - I think of it as having to do with the 'pulse' (as
opposed to the BPM) of the music.

AZ has been going 10 years. Will you still be doing it in 10 years time ?

If it'll have me !

Birthday Boys !

Hi all,
tumbling into the weekend we go, and, if there's too much vino around, probably head first into a birthday cake, or two.
All good things, greetings, and just you try and blow out those candles, to Gil Legine, and Richard Bismarck, who both celebrate birthdays this weekend, on Sunday and Monday, respectively.
Many claims of '21 again' fill the air, as ever, at AZ Towers. It is our catchphrase, and we like it.
Have a great time whatever you end up doing, ok ?
Birthday greetings from all !
.
Album Zone programming this weekend features Cupcake (Saturday 21.00) and Johnny Reece (Sunday 20.00) via our usual weekend outlets, Sky Satellite channel 0195, and around this funny little globe of ours via http://www.rti.fm
That's UK (London) time, for those of you in different timezones.
.
Cupcake has something of a 'Movie Special' going on, featuring the likes of Ennio Morricone, Stratus, Sigur Ros, Beck, and much more. Don't miss it !
And if you do, have no fear, as it's on our Pod, right now.
.
On Sunday, Johnny Reece will wax lyrical about The Raveonettes, Rialto, Halflight, The Crystals, and many others. This show will be on our Pod, from late Sunday evening.
Available 24/7, you can play straight from it, or download - your choice !
.
Our Pod, containing ALL current Album Zone programming, is located at :
http://www.4shared.com/dir/391612/be81ca22/sharing.html
.
Our recent Q and A's have been popular, so much so that we think we'll do some more of these in the future.
Just 2 still to publish, being Gil Legine, and Johnny Reece.
We still have many questions left over, so the grilling will continue, in weeks to come.
.
Moving on to our programmes via Radio Seagull (http://www.radioseagull.com), we can be found Monday through Wednesday, at 18.00 hours UK time, next week, featuring respectively,
Andy Miles, Barry De Foyle, and Zoe.
These are repeated too, same frequency, and on Tenerife 105FM, through the night on Friday through Sunday, at 02.00 hours. Beach bums beware !
.
It just remains for me to wish you a great weekend, wherever you are.
.
Thanks, as ever, for your support.

Andy's Q and A !

Hello troops, a quick midweek update as promised.
Happy to tell you that another new show hits our Pod tonight, courtesy of Andy Miles.
His musical shenanigans for February 2008, is there for you, right now.
.
Also, below, it seems the right time to unleash Andy's Q and A on you.
I'll be back at the weekend, with news of the forthcoming Saturday and Sunday programmes, from Cupcake, and Johnny Reece.
Enjoy your week !
.
Steve
.
---------------------------------------------------
The Andy Miles Q and A... :

If you were in charge of making the environment better what would you do?

This is a subject that I feel quite strongly about. Why recycle when you can re-use? When I was a young boy we would return empty bottles to the shop from where we got them. In return we received a refund.
After delivering goods to a supermarket, what does a truck take back to the warehouse? Why not return the containers which shoppers have returned. It seems pointless to collect so many 'custom made' bottles and jars and just grind them up when they could be re-used by the original companies. Coke bottles, beer bottles jam jars ... imagine...
>
>
In your career with the Album Zone and the thousands of songs that you've played have you ever played anything that changed a listeners life?

Yes, many times. But you know, they have never thought to tell me.
>
>
>
>
Have you ever considered quitting AZ ? And why ?

Not during the early days when we had 'live' outlets. Working with other presenters on a live event brings such a rush. Recorded programs are a mixed blessing. Working in your own studio with every thing to hand is great but it is insular and there is no instant feedback from listeners. Unless there are emails or letters or Faxes. I do sometimes wonder if anyone really enjoys the programme. It's wonderful to get communication from listeners. For those of you who do write in, a very big thank you.
>
>
>
>
Anything you've done that you have really regretted ? Care to tell ?

Yes of course, many things. It's how we learn about life and relationships. I think one thing I can tell you that I regretted was to test a flashlight bulb in my grandmother's bedside light. I was 5 years old. It was very bright for a moment and I got a little burned too!
>
>
>
>
>
It doesn't pay. Why do you do it ?

It's in my blood now. Like a drug. If I produce a good program that I feel proud of then it makes me happy. I am self critical though.
>
>
>
>
What's the best thing about doing AZ ?

Getting emails from someone who says that they have enjoyed it or found the information useful or joins in with a debate on a subject I mentioned.
>
>
>
>
And the worst ?

Having no feedback.
>
>
>
>
Favourite city or town - and why ?

Guildford in Surrey, because it holds very special memories for me.
>
>
>
>
>
Do you miss doing 'Live' Shows ?

Very much. They are completely different.
>
>
>
>
>
Do you have a favourite record of all time - or are there just too many ?

It really depends on my mood. I do have many favourites and they are not just rocky ones. There are a couple of Jim Reeves songs I love. Richie Sambora features highly with me and Fool's Gold "Rain Oh Rain" is so beautiful. That's just for today. What favourites will tomorrow bring?
>
>
>
>
>
>
Where have you never travelled - but really want to visit ?

Sweden.
>
>
>
>
>
Ever thought of doing 'all talk' programmes ?

Yes, and I have done, but not for the Albumzone. It doesn't seem appropriate.
>
>
>
>
>
Do you ever listen to any of the other AZ Presenters shows ?
If so, which ones and why ?

Yes. I have listened to all of them from time to time. I like being introduced to music I have never heard and also to be reminded of music I have but have forgotten that I have. Listening to other presenter's delivery interests me. Weird eh?
>
>
>
>
>
Got pets ? What ?
>
Yup, Got a 10 year old cat called Mussop. She made her debut on the Albumzone during a programme Johnny and I did together. I think her photo was on the blogspot page shortly afterwards.
>
>
>
What's the funniest / saddest / strangest
thing to happen while doing (live ??) shows on the radio ?
>

Johnny used to create a very warm atmosphere at the beginning of his programmes by opening a bottle of wine live on air so that you could hear the cork being pulled and wine being poured. I thought it would be amusing to satire this by opening a can of Guinness and a bag of crisps at the beginning of my show. However, the beer was a little lively and gushed from the can over the desk and soaked my jeans. My reaction was captured in the recording and in true Albumzone presenter fashion I continued with the programme in stout trousers.
>
>
What was really embarrassing ?

Being met at Singapore Airport by a work colleague and talking to him for all of 20 minutes but could not remember his name. Is it just me?
>
>
>
>
>
Who's the sexiest girl / boy singer for you ?

Gwen Stefani.
>
>
>
>
>
Sexiest record ?

Move Over Darling - Doris Day, or My Side Of The Bed - Susanna Hoffs
>
>
>
Please tell us something about your biography, we don't know much about you... where are you from, where are you now ? And where are you going ?

I was born in Oldenburg, Germany as the son of an English Officer and after moving to Gibraltar for 18 months returned to Southern England which has been my home ever since. I now live in the leafy glades of Hampshire (as Johnny likes to refer to it) and have worked for a few multi-nationals in the technology sectors and been very fortunate to have travelled on business to countries I may otherwise have never have visited. Where am I going? The next stop is bed.
>
>
>
>
>
AZ has been going 10 years. Will you still be doing it in 10 years time ?

Yes I hope so.
>
>
>
>
>
Would you like a job with a national radio station ?
Tricky question this. Yes, more so than a local station. I have very little respect for the standard of programming on local stations in the UK. The further from London you go, the worse they are.
So yes I would try a national station. More to the point, would any of them take me?

>
>
>
>
>
Favourite Album ?

Phew, that's a toughie. I bit like songs I referred to further up the page. It depends on my mood. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a moody person, I'll punch anyone who says I am.
>
>
>
>
>
Does a lot of advance planning go into your programmes, or do you just sit down and get on with it ?

Yes I do advance planning, and you know, it never seems to be enough. What does that tell you?
>
>
>
>
Anything else you'd like to add ?

Yes, a few zeros to my pay cheque please.

Music n' bugs

Hi Zoneheads,
the weekend crashes in, once again. We've been fighting off fluey coldy bugs here at AZ Towers, with sticks and paracetomol. I think we're going to win.
This weekend, it's our usual round-up of what will vie for the attention of your ears, on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
.
Saturday at 21.00, it's Gil Legine, doing his thing, with the likes of Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, Egg, Zappa, and more.
Sunday, an hour earlier at 20.00, it's Johnny Reece, who features The Sonics, Hendrix, new music from the White Stripes, Lambchop, and the occasional vintage delight from the likes of The Coasters, and The Jive Five.
Expect the unexpected !
.
Both programmes are available via www.rti.fm, and Sky 0195.
.
Oh, and thanks for the Valentine wishes which came our way this week.
Nice !
.
I'll be back, midweek, with more Schedule news, and another of our Presenter Q and A's.
.
Thanks, as ever, for your support.

Paranoimia on the airwaves

Aha !, there you are.
Ahoy Zoneheads, a little bulletin just to tell you, that with superb timing for Valentines Day, some more Paranoimia hits the airwaves, as the brand new show from Zoe is now available for your delectation, on the Album Zone Pod.
So, if you want to hear it upfront before the rest of the world has their chance via our usual outlets, you know where to go !
.
It's there, beside a full compliment of Album Zone goodies, at :

http://www.4shared.com/dir/391612/be81ca22/sharing.html
.
This is the ideal time too, to furnish you with the thoughts of Ms Paranoimia, via the answers to the questions set by you all recently, to our usual suspects.
.
So, here goes, the thoughts of Zoe !
.
.
.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you were in charge of making the environment better what would you do?

Run up behind people who drop litter and stuff the offending piece of rubbish down the back of their neck.

In your career with the Album Zone and the thousands of songs that you've played have you ever played anything that changed a listeners life?

I hope so (for the better) !

Have you ever considered quitting AZ ? And why ?

I adore AZ, I had to take a break last year after getting married as I had to get my life together but I couldn't stay away for too long. Love it too much!

Anything you've done that you have really regretted ? Care to tell ?

I've done some things which are probably very regrettable by most people's standards, but I don't believe in regrets, personally so no!

It doesn't pay. Why do you do it ?

It's great experience, good fun, I have the freedom to play quite off the wall stuff and Reecey makes a fine cup of tea.

What's the best thing about doing AZ ?

The tea. And the music.

And the worst ?

When the tea is not forthcoming. That is not a regular occurence, thankfully.

Favourite city or town - and why ?

London. My hometown... how long have you got?

Do you miss doing 'Live' Shows ?

I don't think I did any?

Do you have a favourite record of all time - or are there just too many ?

Too many! But my favourite album is 'Cut' by the Slits.
Avant-garde but still danceable, brilliant.

Where have you never travelled - but really want to visit ?

New York! And I think I've got a possible trip coming up too...

Ever thought of doing 'all talk' programmes ?

Not personally. I think I talk too much as it is.

Do you ever listen to any of the other AZ Presenters shows ?
If so, which ones and why ?

Reecey! He's the don.

Got pets ? What ?

In my fantasies - I have about ten cats. I don't have any cats in reality because I live in the midde of the city...

What's the funniest / saddest / strangest thing to happen while doing (live ??) shows on the radio ?

Me.

What was really embarrassing ?

Just me again, generally.

Who's the sexiest girl / boy singer for you ?

Carmen Miranda

Sexiest record ?

Shoplifting by the Slits

Please tell us something about your biography, we don't know much about you... where are you from, where are you now ? And where are you going ?

I'm from London, I'm in London, I'm staying in London. I'll let you know if anything changes.

AZ has been going 10 years. Will you still be doing it in 10 years time ?

Who can say!

Would you like a job with a national radio station ?

If it suits me I would love to.

Favourite Album ?

Cut by the Slits.

Does a lot of advance planning go into your programmes, or do you just sit down and get on with it ?

I plan what I'm going to play as I like to mix up so many diverse sounds - as you know, from punk and dub reggae to Gene Vincent, 40s swing, The Andrews Sisters, blues and some weird avant garde silliness too so I like to plan what I play but beyond that there's no script.

Anything else you'd like to add ?

Thanks for the support and keep listening! We love you all...
.

Another Q and A, and Scheds !

Hi all, a day later than advertised (I've been pretending to be busy).
A few upcoming Schedule details for you, and another Q and A, as Richard Bismarck has his turn to be grilled.
Also, Mr Bismarck's brand new Show is up and running, on our Pod.
Check it out at :
http://www.4shared.com/dir/391612/be81ca22/sharing.html
You'll find it nestling alongside all the current AZ Programmes.
.
As for the Schedules, up and coming this weekend, on Saturday, Zoe returns, at 21.00 hours (UK time) via www.rti.fm, and Sky 0195. Impatient ? Hey, it's on the Pod now too.
Sunday at 20.00, it's Johnny Reece in his usual weekly slot.
Playlists for these Programmes, will be published late on Sunday.
Looking into next week, our outlet via Radio Seagull, and Tenerife 105 FM, will feature AZ Programmes by Rich Phoenix, and Johnny Reece, Monday through Saturday.
Check the Seagull schedules for times and details, at www.radioseagull.com.
.
Ok Mr Biz, here's your grilling ! :
.
----------------------------------
Richard Bismarck : The Q and A :
.
If you were in charge of making the environment better what would you do?

Make it illegal to throw useful things away. If an item is useful and you don't want it, either sell it or give it to someone. Throwing litter is disgusting and anyone doing it should be ashamed of themselves. It encourages rats and injures other creatures.

In your career with the Album Zone and the thousands of songs that you've played have you ever played anything that changed a listeners life?

Not that I'm aware of. If you know different, let me know.

Have you ever considered quitting AZ ? And why ?

Not on your nellie.

Anything you've done that you have really regretted ? Care to tell ?

There are plenty of girls I regret I never had the courage to ask out in my school days. I've also done some stupid things in my time. But haven't we all?

It doesn't pay. Why do you do it ?

In a way that makes it better. I do it because I love it. I have a 9-5 job so my survival is not a worry to me.

What's the best thing about doing AZ ?

Communication. Sharing music with friends (How trite!)

And the worst ?

Suddenly a piece of music will enter my head (not through my ears) and I want to play it on the show. But.… I cannot track it down. It's a wee bit frustrating.

Favourite city or town - and why ?

Um, I remember liking Oslo when I went there on holiday as a child. We were at a campsite on a hill overlooking the city on a beautiful summers night.

Do you miss doing 'Live' Shows ?

Yes, I miss meeting my AZ colleagues when we used to travel to the Netherlands or France (or the Northsea). I'm a bit isolated in my little house amongst the rolling hills of Nottinghamshire.

Do you have a favourite record of all time - or are there just too many ?

That is an impossible question to answer. It changes from day to day. Try "In My Life" by The Beatles

Where have you never travelled - but really want to visit ?

I fancy a trip to the Galapagos Islands. Anyone care to join me?

Ever thought of doing 'all talk' programmes ?

No. Ex Album Zone person James Barclay would be great at it though.

Do you ever listen to any of the other AZ Presenters shows ?
If so, which ones and why ?
Britain. T
Absolutely. I listen to everyone. Each one has their own choice and style. Unlike the commercial stations of hey all sound exactly the same. What is the point in that?

Got pets ? What ?

No. But I once had a grey squirrel living in my roof space.

what's the funniest / saddest / strangest
thing to happen while doing (live ??) shows on the radio ?

The funniest thing was many years ago: I was on a student radio station in Loughborough. Someone thought it would be a great idea to do the first show of the new term from the studio roof with speakers blaring out music across the campus. It was a sunny day. Each DJ did a stint.
When my turn came I took up position, said a few words and someone threw a bucket of water over me! That person was one Steve Satan (now ex-Radio Caroline and occasional AZ presenter). It was even funnier because the radio desk shorted out and stopped working! Once the laughter had died down someone remembered that the desk was owned by the Students Union and what's more there was to be a disco that evening. Hurriedly and urgently we found as many hairdryers as we could lay our hands on and blew hot air into it's inner workings to dry it out.

What was really embarrassing ?

Having difficulty staying awake when doing the Album Zone at 5 am @ Merlin Network One.

who's the sexiest girl / boy singer for you ?

Emiliana Torrini. She is just a genuine gentle person. (as far as I can tell)

sexiest record ?

Midnight at the Oasis - Maria Muldaur

please tell us something about your biography, we don't know much about you... where are you from, where are you now ? And where are you going ?

Born and bred in the wilds of Nottinghamshire, England. Born in a snowstorm. The snowstorm was outside I was inside. The village was cut off. The midwife and doctor had to walk the mile to my house to attend to my birth.
Futurewise I think I may travel the world.

AZ has been going 10 years. Will you still be doing it in 10 years time ?

If people want the Album Zone and I still enjoy it why not?

Would you like a job with a national radio station ?

Are you offering? I don't charge much.

Favourite Album ?

Another impossible question. How about First Band on the Moon by the Cardigans?

Does a lot of advance planning go into your programmes, or do you just sit down and get on with it ?

You wouldn't believe it. When I get a new album my routine is to listen to the album 3 times in order, then put my CD player onto random (things sound different in a different order) and listen again. I then mark the best tracks to play. If I know the music I well I list it ready for the show. I often know what the 1st track is weeks before I record the show.

Anything else you'd like to add ?

I think Steve may need to edit this!

Weekend Update, welcome to February !

Hi everyone,
a quick short sharp update, before we rush away and huddle out of sight from the cold and snow which is threatening. Well, I guess we could just stay here in the warmth of AZ Towers, yes ?
.
To warm the cockles (in a manner of speaking), we have news of this Weekends AZ Shows.
Saturday at 9pm, UK time, sees (hears ?) the return of Barry De Foyle to the worldwide airwaves, on the Net via www.rti.fm, and Sky 0195, too. Don't miss it ! Or, if you dare to, it'll be on our Pod, late Saturday.
Sunday creeps in, and in his usual slot, it's Johnny Reece, same frequencies around the globe, this time at 8pm UK time. This show will also appear on the Pod, late Sunday.
.
On Saturday, Barry will be playing the likes of Shonen Knife, Pink Floyd, Robert Wyatt, Corduroy, and Duke Spirit.
On Sunday, Johnny has Mikabomb, The Thanes, Ladytron, The Rutles, and Ian Hunter, and a host of others. Be there if you can !
.
Early next week, we'll be publishing our next round of Q and A's, this time, with Richard Bismarck being grilled under the spotlight. We'll time it all ever so nicely, with his brand new programme going up to the Pod, on the same day.
Expect that, on Monday or Tuesday, ok ?

I will also be publishing the full February 2008 Schedules, at the same time.
.
If that's not enough, don't forget we are also aired by Radio Seagull, 6 times per week, just check their Schedule for details under 'Album Zone', at www.radioseagull.com.
.
Don't forget - you can hear all the AZ Shows, on demand, 24/7, from our Pod.
.
Oh, and if you are lucky enough to be lounging around on a beach in Tenerife, you just might catch us too, on 105FM.
.
Send us a postcard !
.
Have a great weekend, and thanks, as ever, for your support.
