Quicker than we thought !

So, Zoneheads, that was relatively painless (oh, I hope we don't regret that remark).
Sunday evening at AZ Towers, Studio completely moved and reconnected, PCs back online, and over 10,000 Albums shifted. Not bad !
Next up - it's the more 'cosmetic' side to concentrate on, a 'slowly but surely' job if ever there was one, although I have already spied Mr Reece digging out some of his music memorabilia to dot around the place. Sounds good to me. Seen so far - various rare or signed, framed artefacts which I'm sure will appear on these walls shortly, from the likes of Roxy Music, Shangri-las, Rolling Stones, Beatles, George Best, Wolfman Jack, oh, the list goes on.
It's going to look great !
.
Ok, lots to do, so to the subject in hand - the Johnny Reece playlist.

Remake and Remodel

Mr and Mrs Zoneheads, a fine weekend to you all.
I'm at AZ Towers, and as I look at the Stu... oh, hang on. Where is it ?
Yes, it's that time. The big Studio move happens over the next 48 hours or so. Indeed, this is a super-fast update, because as soon as I've completed this little hello, the PCs are to be disconnected and relocated too.
The actual 'move' itself isn't the problem (we hope !), it's the aftermath of it, with a redesign of the whole space around it. That doesn't need to be rushed - but the Studio itself needs to be up and running again very quickly.
So, excuse this short sharp update... things to do !
.
Tonight, our man in NJ, Rich Phoenix, bursts back onto the airwaves via RTI (www.rti.fm) and simultaneously on Sky Satellite, channel 0195. That's at 21.00 hours, UK time.
Tomorrow, Sunday, Johnny Reece is in his usual slot, same frequencies, at 20.00 hours.
As ever, our Programmes continue through the week via Radio Seagull at 18.00 hours on Mon, Tue, Wed (www.radioseagull.com) with Johnny Reece, Rich Phoenix, and Zoe Street-Howe, respectively.
Repeats of those later in the week and at a more convenient hour for our Stateside listeners, but I'll be back here midweek to tell you all about that.
.
Just time to say, have a great weekend.
.
Now, where's that toolbox ?

Filling In The Gaps

Ouch !
Has it really been 11 days since this was updated ? Hmm, it seems so.
Mr Lloyd, the usual bringer of all news AZ, is on a short break, so it's myself, Mr Reece, with the job of filling in the gaps, since October 6th.
Studio wise, it has been interesting.
A 'new' Studio PC in situ, has now been used on a few occasions, for a test run. It's not as simple as that, as we did have to keep referring back to the old one too. There are many things to be transferred from one to another, and believe me, that is not as simple as it sounds. But, we're nearly there.
In fact, about 80% there, I would say.
Ah, the rickety plinth - that's another story.
The plinth which holds everything here, by 'everything' I mean PCs, Printer, Scanner, Mixer, Minidisc Banks, Minidisc Players, CD Players etc etc is a little shaky. It is all being redesigned, recut, remade and remodelled, and part of the early stages of this was to have some of the supports cut away. That's made it interesting.
Don't lean too hard on it !!!
It's all fun - many changes afoot, but they do take time. We want to do it properly.
.
Nice to see Cupcake again - she breezed in to AZ Towers to lay down some recording, last weekend.
Expect to hear the dulcet tones of Cupcake in your ears within the next week, when we will upload the first of her new Programmes to our Pod. Thereafter, the show will be aired on Radio Seagull (twice), then RTI/Sky.

Meanwhile, one of those strange weeks at AZ Towers. Whilst we were pleased to have another master PC in our grasp which will be essential for editing, processing, and uploading future Programmes, we had the other side of the coin too when the Minidisc machine failed - you guessed it - just 2 months past the guarantee.
Isn't that always the way ? You know, I'm sure these things are timed to do that !
.
Wishing you all a good week, and if you like what you hear, by all means contact us, whoever, and wherever, you are. Thanks, as ever, for your support.
