Welcome to September !
Hi Zoneheads, and welcome to September.
What's with the country images ? Well, as it's Barry De Foyle and Johnny Reece on the airwaves this very weekend, I thought I'd include a couple of pictures of where they, respectively, grew up. Really !
What I did like, is a recent Barry De Foyle blog from his own page, regarding his recent travels, so I thought I would repeat it for you, below - and it also includes his playlist, for his Saturday evening Show.
Here goes :
Just back from two weeks in the land of cream teas, pasties and beer (that's Cornwall, in case you were wondering). A wonderful place to unwind and recharge the batteries with breathtaking scenery at the most westerly (Land's End) tip of Great Britain and the most southerly (the Lizard). Add ancient monuments like Tintagel castle (legendary birthplace of King Arthur) and modern wonders (like Goonhilly Down Satellite Tracking Station and the superb Eden Project) and you'll be so relaxed and mellow you won't want to come back !
Some mellow sounds too, on the Album Zone this weekend (broadcasting Saturday 1st September) together with the usual eclectic mix and some old favourites. As ever, there is a plethora of ways to hear - have a look on the Album Zone page on Myspace - link from my own Myspace page or go to:
Cream teas all round !
